Exercise is only half of it...
Exercise is only half of the journey.
I have been having a hard time with getting to a goal weight and size. I am still in better shape than I have been in the past few year but I have been gaining the weight back. Dispite all the exercise I was doing I was still eating more than I should have been. In past updates I was talking about dieting again and I was eating less than was before the journey started but it was all still just what ever I felt like. I mean I was diong at least an hour of cycling every morning and walking I can eat what ever right? Well I was WRONG. I want to be clear about something though the exercise was not in vain it has plenty of benefits that are not about weight loss. At my last weigh in yesterday I was up to 177.5 but my pants all still fit. Prior in the journey when I was this weight my pants did not fit.
Since my last post I have been starting to log my food in Samsung health again and started to make sure I have been eating better again. It is always going to be harder for me to not eat junk food and what ever I feel like. I mean who wants to eat two eggs and a bananna for breakfast instead of pancakes with extra butter? I wont give up everything such as I put cheese on the eggs.
How much exercise have I been doing.
I have not updated on the amount of exercise in a while and I have been doing a lot. Mostly just cycling in the mornings but I have changed over the years of this and if I am going to go to the store or something I am not going by car I am either walking or cycling. I have a lot more to say on that subject but I am working on getting some video and photos for that. Anyway here are the stats for my past few weeks of exercise. This is from May 24th through today July 17th. I do not know why it says the 18th but my guess is that is when the week ends on the health app.
Aside from the logged exercise I have been lifting again. I track those on a google doc and its not really much but mostly sit ups, push ups, bench, squats, curls, and overhead press. I have yet to add much real weight to the lifts because I keep having issues with my knee and that does not mean much for curls or bench but I do not want to end up hurting my arms or back as well as my knee so I keep things light there.
I am off to plan out and get more things prepared for a longer post about walking and cycling around. Thank you very much for reading have a wonderful day!
