Took a while away from blogging.

Took a few weeks off of blogging.

I needed a little bit to just not think about writing anything. I am not the best writer in the world to begin with but I was noticing that I was not putting any thought into what I was writing. I started this blog a few years ago and had slightly different idea on what I was going to do with it. I intended to have it be all out the journey of getting myself back into exercising and losing some weight. I was going to focus more and more on the workouts and talk about the things that happen along the way. For a while I was writing about all of the stuff that I have been doing and the things I wanted to do but I feel into bit of a rut. I have not stopped exercising and my goals have not really changed but 2 years in and I started to just focus on cycling and lost track of losing weight. This has caused me to write almost the same thing over and over again just slightly differently. I was losing my ambition to keep writing about my journey. I also wanted to make other types of content to play around with them and see if I liked them. Riding the same bikes, the same routes, the same times, and just the same everything had made me think more about how boring that is to write about but thinking of vlogging that would be even worse. I am well aware that telling the story and having something to talk about is what matters more than the other things but I was lacking anything to think about. I have been riding in the mornings again now that it is not below freezing out every morning and my thoughts have started to flow again. I have a few ideas about things that I am going to blog about and I think the short break will improve my writing and ideas.

I did not stop excercising.

I have not stopped excercising while I took a break from the blog though. I have still be out there walking and or cycling as often as I can get out there. I few weeks ago I got a notice on Strava that I have a 2 year streak and that means I have not missed a week in the past 2 years. Not all the things logged in Strava are all the same some are shorter 1 miles walks with the dog and some are 50 mile bike rides but I still logged something every week for the past 2 years.

The month of April so far has looked very good for me in terms of excercising. I have been getting back to every day or almost every day and it has felt awesome. This much exercising has come with one thing that did not happen even last year and that is knee pain when starting my ride.

The April log you can see I did a lot of walking instead of just cycling and that is because of the knee pain when I start my ride. It does not last all that long maybe about 2 miles or so but it hurts quite a bit until I get going and then its gone for the rest of the ride. The ride I do is 13 miles so I do end up with 11 miles of riding with no pain but the start is awful. I am sure I should get it check out or talk to a medical profesional but last time I did that with minor pains when doing a thing I was told to go to sports rehab and there they said basically suck it up and don't do the thing that hurts. Like I can save a lot of hassle and time and just figure it out myself even though that is not the right thing to do. Anyway its not going to stop me from cycling in the morning I might just end up going slower at the start and see if I can ease the pain away.

Weight and other things.

I have yet to mention much about my weight and anything about my body size. Well I have not kept track of calories all that well and have been over eating still. I have lost some weight again though becuase I have been eating healthier for the most part. I was 170 again recently and was really in my feelings about that but today I weight in at 165. This is not a ton of weight loss and I was 145 not too long ago so there is still 20 LBS of weight I have to shave off. I really think my main ideal weight is more around the 150s but I want to get lower than that a little bit so I can eat and gain weight and not feel like I lost all my progress kind of like I feel right now. Also even though at this weight prior I was fitting in all my pants today I have a few pairs that are rather tight. I am not sure what to think about this because my waist is getting all the weight this time or something? I do not really know I do know that it mocks me when I go to put on my size 32 jeans and they push into belly.

Anyway I am off to continue to think about things to blog about ad try to keep at least a weekly update going. Thank you very much for reading have a wonderful day!
