Knee pain after overdoing it!

 Starting with the fun!

The other week I was doing so well with excersizing and had a blast riding in the rain one morning.

Riding in the pouring rain is fun there is no one around and you get to just take in the ride. Sure I got wet but it was not cold out so being wet was fine. I was very happy ater this ride even thinking nothing is going to stop my morning rides not even pouring rain.

Then I started lifting again....

I do not know what happened but I put the weights on the rack and got ready to do squats. I went down for my first one and my right knee felt a little off nothing too bad but just off. When I finished my 5th squat it hurt. I thought to myself it must have been just the position I was in I will lay off of it for the day and try again. The next day I went for my morning ride and the knee pain was back but this time it was on my bike. It was not bad enough to keep me from riding that day so I kept going. This was a bad idea because later that day it was just knee pain from bending it too much or doing things like going up or down stairs. Now this pain is not 10/10 on the scale its like 4/10 I can walk just fine and even though it hurts I can go upstairs with no problem but I decided I am not going to make the pain worse than it already is by forcing myself to exercise.

All of this was started about 2 weeks ago and today the pain is mostly gone. I think I will be getting back to the morning rides this week and keep it at that for now. There has been a small impact on my weight from the 2 weeks of not really cycling, running, or lifting. I have gained about 5 LBs back and it is starting to become a problem again. I started this journey becauase I was not able to fit into pants and having pants start to get tight again is not something I am willing to accept. I did not follow my own guidelines for prior posts because I was upset about the whole not being able to cycle thing with my knee and some other stuff that was going on. So this weight gain and pants tightening issues is something I could have avoided but can still fix if I just get back on track.

I am back to getting things back on track. Thank you very much for reading have and wonderful day!
