A Good week ruined!
Good week ruined by health.
I had such a good week last week it ended on Sunday with a 20 mile ride and I was planning my diet out a bit. There was a problem on Sunday I was having that I thought was just an eyelash or some other thing rubbing my eye. Well I am getting ready for bed and notice that it was a stye. Not a big deal normally but this one was a bit big and my eye was leaking a lot. What ever I will just wear my glasses the next day I thought.... I woke up in the morning and my eye was stuck shut not able to open. I wash it with some water and look in the mirror once I can see properly. The stye has grown to an infection as my eye lid was puffed out 3 times the size and I had some pain in my neck that after feeling it was the lymphnode being swollen. Instead of getting to work I went to the Dr to get checked out and left with some very large antibiotics.
The problem with antibiotics.
The Diet is still on though right?
Just some thoughts.
I have not had an eye problem ever get to the point of infection like this before. I have had styes in the past but they normally go away in a day or two with out much thought from me other than do not wear my contacts with a stye. I am normally fairly clean about my eyes and wash my contacts before putting them away and again before putting them in. The only thing I do that is not a recommended thing is shower with my contacts in. Though I normally take them out right after showering so they get washed right after and its not like I have had a problem with that before but I am rethinking that. I really do like to see while I am showering though so that is going to be annoying to do.
As for my eye and the progress there. Its still puffed a little in the spot where the stye was but there is no more leaking and my lymphnode feels only a touch swollen, though it does not hurt to touch so I know its healing fine. I am going to be off the antibiotics on Sunday night so I am thinking I can get back to cycling on Monday even if that means wearing my glasses instead of contacts for a few rides.
I am off to keep an EYE on my health. Thank you very much for reading have and wonderful day!
